MONSTER MADNESS TOURNEY: Play-in Game

Did you guys know this was already a movie...TWICE!?!?

Low seeding via the random selection process gave us one of the most fantastic battles as the play-in game. A clash of otherworldly titans. A bout of the baddies from beyond. A donnybrook between the denizens of the dark void. You get the picture. Alien came in to the matchup with a thirst for blood and the means to get some while Predator came into the dance having a freshly shorn ‘do. Their rivalry goes back years and the battle for #1 Alien A-hole is one of the dirtiest in all of monsterdom.

The battle began with the predator lobbying some long distance attacks with his super cool lasers, Alien was struck once, dealing a brutal blow to our long-headed competitor. The acid blood started to spurt which forced Predator to put his dreadlocks up into a braid. Trust me, NOT a good look. (But watch the hair! Am I right?!)  The dread ponytail would prove to be a vain and huge mistake for the hunter from the heavens as the match wore on.  Though wounded, Alien began to apply serious pressure as he leapt toward Predator and laid a smashing blow with his tail that sent Predator back quite a ways. The battle ensued with each fighter really giving it his all in hand-to-hand combat. Alien gained a serious advantage when he grabbed the dread ponytail (WASH YOUR HAIR ALREADY), and had Predator on his knees ready to dispatch him. The extender jaws came out to deal the final blow when Predator released his wrist mounted blades directly into the GIANT head of Alien for the first buzzer beater of the tournament. (For all of you nitpickers, it’s common knowledge that Predator’s melee weapons are resistant to acid blood)

The back-and-forth between the fighters was epic as Alien looked to have the run of the match based on his superior melee skills, but in the end Predator’s technology came through for him in close range as he ended Alien’s shot at the Tourney title.  Predator moves on to the first round matchup with the Descent’s Hillbillies-Gone-Loco, the Cave Creatures.
