reunited and it feels so good

Fresh off news that Jimmy Fallon’s proposed Saved by the Bell reunion is gaining some steam and the noted rise in my own excitement over a beloved childhood show’s potential resurrection , comes my list of shows that I’d love to see reunite. Now I know that any of these reunions will almost certainly be terrible, but I’d pay cash money to see any of these take off.

1. Veronica Mars- Never have I been so involved in a show that ended so seemingly abruptly. A show which had a cast I came to know and care about greatly, and which had storylines that became so interwoven and twisty, it was like an elementary school playground slide. This show would make an EXCELLENT movie HOLLYWOOD! HINT HINT.

2. Cheers- One of the greatest ensemble cast comedies of all time. What makes Cheers great is what makes it nearly impossible to reunite, everyone on the show was dynamite together and catching lightning in a bottle that way is near impossible, but tell me you wouldn’t LOVE to see Sam Malone slinging drinks and the shouts of “NORM!” that would accompany this reunion. God knows I would.

3. Wonder Years- Winnie, my love, where have you been?! Oh yeah and all of the Arnold clan too. I can remember being excited for this show when it was first on and loving it for all the right reasons, it got all of those little awkward feelings about growing up RIGHT and that’s not an easy thing to do. It’d be great to see what happened to our favorite characters as the 60′s continued to change as their lives did as well. Can you imagine Winnie and Kevin in the 70′s?

4. Family Ties- I personally would love to know if Alex P. Keaton’s plans for world domination worked out. What a fantastic family drama and a family you couldn’t help but feel a part of. Maybe they could leave Skippy out.

5. MacGyver- Do you realize there is a generation that doesn’t really get my main Angus? They see him as the butt of an SNL joke. It’s just sad really. Time to get the duct tape and swiss army knife back together and see what happens! He’s carrying a bomb on his shoulder, how much cooler can he look!?

Wild Card: SeaQuest DSV- In the words of my buddy Chase:
“Talking Dolphin. Can’t Miss.”

What do you want to see get back together? I know some of you out there are ITCHING for a giant ABC TGIF reunion, that could be dangerous, I mean who’s SEEN Urkel in the last 10 years?
