I’ve never been a DIEHARD fan of Scrubs, but I’ve always enjoyed it and have thought at a few points in its 8 year run, that it has at times been the sharpest comedy on tv. And then I saw the series finale a couple weeks ago and it reminded me exactly why I thought that. It’s a show that bandies about comedy and heartbreak and emotion and feeling better than almost any other comedy. The relationships are yours and they delve so fully into them that the characters are your friends. Even though you may not want them sometimes. It was one of the best series finales I’ve ever watched. It just ended the exact way it should’ve and despite the fact that I was sad to see it go, I was happy because it had ended just perfectly.
And then this happened: ABC renewed Scrubs for another season.
Ummm what!? Remember that series finale last week? Yeah, JK!!!!!! ROTFLMAOOL!!!
Seriously, they showed the reel of the show’s characters and creators hugging and saying goodbye and wrapping up. And then shazam! it’s back.
Yuck. I don’t get it. They must have given Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke a billion dollars to stick around for 6 more episodes. I don’t get it.
Way to sully a perfectly good finale with a new batch of episodes meanwhile newer shows are getting canned or short-shrifted because of lowered ratings. Well whatever, here’s hoping they’re not terrible.

wow..I thought it was the season finale too…weird.
